Very nice work! However, that is not Byzantine, but Turkish Round ([link]).

To be fair they're all int he same family of weaves, turkish round and it's octagonal cousin celtic round are byzantine derivatives.

If someone were being highly technical they could argue you've actually got a few different variants of byz or turk/celt round by the way you expanded the weaves.

Me? I just think it's a beautiful bracelet, well done sir.

Glad to be of help :). If you are ever uncertain of a weaves' name we have an excellent (and ever expanding) weave library on Maille Artisans ([link]).

I am aware of the site and use it often. Sometimes I just don't go there for a while so I'll be forced to figure things out on my own without being influenced by others work.

I know what you mean. I don't go into the gallery there anymore for that same reason.

That extra challenge is exciting, even when you wind up inventing something that's already been figured out.
